The insurance company tried to minimize our client’s damages.

A woman was attacked by a pitbull mix while she was walking her dog in their neighborhood.  The attacking dog bit our client multiple times on both of her legs.  In addition to puncture wounds on her legs, she suffered a fractured bone near her ankle.  The dog owners had homeowners insurance, but the insurance company tried to minimize our client’s injuries and damages.  After filing a lawsuit and taking depositions, the homeowners insurance company agreed to a $200,000 settlement at mediation.
